Hospital bed KR-23 - optimum care and ease of use for all requirements

The KR-23 hospital bed impresses with its clear functionality and design. To meet all conceivable care requirements, this bed was developed with a wide range of variants.

With up to four electric motors, depending on your requirements, the bed is extremely easy to adjust to any position. All models have neck rest, bed extension, bed equipment storage compartment and a backrest in accordance with German Care Association (DBfK) specifications. The removable plastic elements of the reclining surface and the chassis are important advances for day-to-day use.

Height adjustment | incline:

Smooth height adjustment and swivelling via the electric motor, activated with the hand switch. Max. leg height: ca. 15°. Max leg depth: ca. 15°. All electric motor adjustments can also be performed via rechargeable batteries. The adjustments can also be made using the lock/ACP box (integrated into the bed equipment storage compartment). If necessary, the ACP box can be used to lock or release any or all of the individual functions.

Undercarriage | roller locking:

The undercarriage is made from electrically welded, torsion-resistant precision steel tubing. It is covered in three sections with removable ABS plastic elements that are anti-static, and acid/UV resistant. The bed can be moved on four easy-action rollers with a diameter of 150 mm and maintenance-free ball bearings, sealed within the partition and swivel sections. The rollers provide thread
protection and have a thin rubber layer which does not mark plastic floor surfaces. The rollers are locked centrally with two foot brakes. There is one roller at the head of the bed used for steering the direction can be controlled by the foot brake.

Surface finish | steel components:

The surface of the steel components is pre-treated as appropriate (sand blasted and phosphatized), then finished with an electrostatic polyester powder coating. The powder is then baked to become shock-resistant. This method guarantees double protection against corrosion. Colour: see the Vauth-Sagel colour scheme.

Head and foot section:

The "Sirius" head and foot section are made from bevelled, plastic coated, stainless steel. Recesses on the rounded edges on cross pedals serve as handrails. The headboard and footboard can be completely removed.

Reclining surface | reclining surface sections:

• The reclining surface beneath the mattress is composed of electrically
  welded precision steel tubes with removable ABS plastic elements, anti-static, acid and UV-resistant.
• The reclining surface is divided into four sections with an additional neck rest.
• The backrest is 90 cm long.
• Two mountings for risers (circular tubing) on the inner side of the head section and one in the middle on the outside for the oval tubing.
• The reclining section has four wall rollers, mounted horizontally at the corners.
• It also has two wall rollers mounted vertically on the headboard, diameter 100 mm.
• Integrated bed extension with integrated bed equipment storage compartment.
• The bed can be extended up to 25 cm and fixed in 2 positions.
• Bed equipment storage compartment with folding bedding racks, preventing bedding from slipping.
• The bed equipment storage compartment is secured with catches.
• 3 storage receptacles for care accessories on each of the longer sides
  of the reclining section.

Adjustment of the reclining surface area:

• The backrest can be adjusted smoothly up to 70° using the electric motor, activated with the hand switch.
• The backrest motor can be unlatched quickly in emergencies.
• The thigh rest can also be adjusted smoothly up to 45° for a comfortable
  sitting position using the electric motor, activated with the hand switch.
• The neck rest can be adjusted manually using a precision ratchet system.
• The lower leg can be angled by adjusting the lower leg section
  manually, also using the precision ratchet system.
• The leg can be raised in a straightened position by lifting the thigh
  and lower leg rests simultaneously (ratchet system).
